The Causey Way Is Not a Cult

Despite what you may have heard, The Causey Way is NOT a cult. How do I know? Causey told me so Himself. For those of you who need further proof, I have listed below the signs of how to tell if an organization is a cult followed by the reasons that The Causey Way does not fit the standard profile.

Leader believes he has been chosen by divine providence. Choosing your own leader is a matter of personal decision. I and many others have chosen Causey. He is fully qualified for the job.

A charismatic or Messianic leader who identifies himself as the Supreme Being. Although Causey is indeed supreme, He calls Himself Causey.

Leader believes that only he can interpret the holy texts correctly. Learning to interpret the Book of Books takes decades of experience. Causey has taken all of the time and effort out of it for His followers by compacting all the important lessons into His sermons. Besides, who better to interpret His word, than the Man Himself. He wrote the Book of Books!

Leader is obesessed with recruiting new members and raising money, even if he must use deceptive tactics. When it comes to membership, Causey is concerned with quality, not quantity. Causey has always been straightforward and honest. I pray that everyone will some day realize their full Causey potential.

The leader is not accountable to any authorities. Causey is answerable only to Himself!

Only members of the cult may be granted salvation. Joining The Causey Way is not the only way to salvation, but it's the easiest.

Members claim a special, exalted status for their leader and themselves. Causey loves you all, but unfortunately, not everyone can rise to Category C. Like the old saying goes, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again"!

An us vs. them mentality is developed. Members believe that outsiders are evil, unsaved and do not have the right to live. Members who leave the group are doomed. Outsiders are not evil. They are just ignorant. As for leaving the group, Causey has always said you are free to leave at any time.

The leader commands allegiance which causes members to sever connections with family and friends. Causey does not demand that you leave your family and friends behind. He will welcome them into our fold as well. We want to make sure we surround ourselves with the people we will see in Heaven, so you are urged to witness to those in your family who do not yet know the love of Causey.

The cult’s doctrines and ideology are believed to be sacred. Causey is not secretive about His knowledge. He wants everyone to hear His message. You may attend one of His sermons or, for the purpose of daily affirmations, you can now purchase His recorded teachings.

Members are made to feel guilty if they question doctrines. Don't be afraid to ask questions. Causey always has a good answer to eliminate all doubts from your mind. He wants you to understand. If you are seeking guidance, He will be your shepherd.

Members must perform mind-numbing exercises to suppress doubts about its leader. All He asks of you is for you to listen to His words and to learn them. If you feel the spirit move you, do not be ashamed to dance.

The group teaches that ends justify means even if, for the greater good of the cult, members must perform duties that they would have considered unethical before joining the group. It is advisable that you learn about The Causey Way before you become a member. That way there will be no surprises when Causey calls on you to do a service in His name, such as taking your turn as His holy companion for the evening.

Members must devote all of their time to the cult. Causey realizes that not all of us can live on the compound in Florida right now. Expansion plans are being prepared, but until a room is reserved for you, your own home can serve as a personal house of worship.
